my first documentary

This is the first documenatry film I directed. This was done back in Riga, Latvia in nearly 2 weeks in mid-August.

The film tells about Inese who is a tram driver. She is passing Miera Street everyday. And she was born and grew up here too. This is a short documentary road film when the story of Miera Street is being told from both - her and people, who represent different places in this street of Riga, perspective. A tram ride is not only 'a passing by' anymore.

Film received Riga Summer School Certificate of Appreciation and Audience Award.

Several weeks ago I have been gone to Paris. I visited an exhibition of Tim Burton`s works in La Cinémathèque Française. Among all the amazing stuff I have seen there (his early films and drawings, his poems from teenage years, school papers etc.), I sighted some of his commercials which I thought are worth sharing. His creative touch is very recognizable in the commercial works, so I will not give the hints to particular films (not only his), because it is clear enough.

I was discussing these amazing ads with my friends and they said that I also must see the commercials made by Lynch. He did not manage to avoid his common creative touch too...

short French comedy by Pierre Etaix

It`s in French, but the director did talkies using the language of silent cinema, so everything`s understandable even if you don`t understand French. It`s so funny that you won`t regret watching it (if you are not a nihilist or something).

winter walks

we went for a walk in the place near Vilnius called Belmontas. winter just came and we decided that it needs to be enjoyed and kind of "consumed" with a photo camera.

we found some apples which were left for animals by some people. Viktorija decided to be the one to try eating them.
